in Texarkana. Adam worked with wonderful educators who demonstrated effective leadership and team building strategies.

Adam relocated to eastern Arkansas in the summer of 2010, as he took a teaching and coaching position with the Forrest City School District. In 2013, Adam was hired at Marion Middle School where he served as an assistant principal. This was an invaluable experience for Adam, as he learned about working effectively with parents, teachers, and community members while fostering meaningful relationships with all students.

Adam was hired as the principal of Marion Elementary School in 2016. He has worked closely with teachers and students alike, fostering a school culture that promotes shared leadership for students and staff; his goal is to find the leader within everyone on the Marion Elementary School campus.

Adam has been married for ten years to his wife, Megan. Together they spend time travelling, enjoying the outdoors, and playing with their dogs, Rudy and Cash. They both attend First Baptist Church, Marianna and lean on their faith daily.

As the first principal of the Herbert Carter Global Community Magnet, Adam hopes to continue fostering positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, and staff with his positive and enthusiastic attitude.

His vision for this new is school is to allow all stakeholders to find the leader within and live life as the best version of themselves thus building the best elementary school in Arkansas!

The Marion School District has been an integral part of Shelbi Cole's life for 23 years. She attended MSD from Kindergarten to her senior year, graduating from Marion High School in 2002. Shelbi was involved in many clubs and organizations, but is most proud of her time spent on the Marion Lady Patriot volleyball team.

After graduating high school, Shelbi moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas to attend college where she pledged membership to Delta Delta Delta and earned a bachelors of science in early childhood education. She continued to cheer on the Arkansas Razorbacks and further her education in Fayetteville, earning a master of arts in teaching in 2008.

Shelbi accepted her first teaching position at Marion Intermediate School as a fourth grade teacher in July of 2008.

Shelbi saw this as her golden opportunity to work for the best school district in Arkansas, and for the one responsible for her academic successes.

In 2010, Shelbi and her husband, Adam, were married and now have two beautiful daughters, Troy and Catt.

Shelbi earned an educational specialist degree in building level administration from the University of Central Arkansas in 2015, which led her to her current position as Assistant Principal of Marion Elementary School.

Shelbi was a member of the community service organization Junior Auxiliary of Crittenden County from 2010-2015 and is a current member of Marion First United Methodist Church.

Shelbi is known for her positivity and willingness to help others. She prides herself in building lasting relationships with parents, students, and colleagues.

Shelbi's talents are sure to serve her well in her next adventure as the assistant principal of the Herbert Carter Global Community Magnet.
