Arkansas Highway Commission approves bid for improvements in Crittenden County

West Memphis, Jennette to get nearly $ 2 million in upgrades

ArDOT.gov CRITTENDEN COUNTY — The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Crittenden County, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) officials.

The purpose of this project is to construct an Arkansas Highway Police Inspection Facility at Bridgeport and Riverside weigh stations near West Memphis.

R. L. Persons Construction, Inc. of Poplar Bluff, Misourri, was awarded the contract at $1,625,690.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting.

The Arkansas State Highway Commission has also approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Crittenden County, according to ArDOT officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface selected sections of 1 mile of various city streets in Jennette, to include: Jennette Road and Peeples Road.

DKB Contractors, LLC of West Memphis was awarded the contract at $323,039.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting.

Completion is expected in mid-2018.
