Mark Long

Mark Dennis Long, 62, of Bartlett, Tennessee, formerly of West Memphis, went to be with our Lord on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017. He was born in Heidelberg, Germany on October 18. 1955.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary (Umbers) and John Clark Long Jr., Vivian and H.C. Smith; daughter, Brook (Long) Neal; and brother Michael Long.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Janet Long; sisters Robin Ost and Ronda Crook; son-in-law, Adam Neal; grandchildren, Avery Neal and Meghan Neal; and many nieces and nephews. He served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was a dedicated employee of Swift Transportation for 18 years. He was a loyal Razorbacks fan who also enjoyed fishing, canoeing, camping, golf, and participating in BBQ competitions. He is remembered as a devoted husband and papa who adored his grandchildren. A loving brother, uncle, and friend, he will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 12 noon, at St.

Michael’s Catholic Church in West Memphis, Arkansas.
