Museum Open House

A total of 30 attended the Open House at the Crittenden County Museum Nov. 26. They were from Earle, Parkin, Marion, West Memphis and Walls, Mississippi.

The Red Hat Muses provided refreshments.

Door prize winners were Tim Way, Johnny Wax and Shaggy Bell.

Tamara Berry is Museum Director.

Community Singers

A program of Lessons and Carols will be presented Dec. 17 at 5 p.m. by the Community Singers.

The program will be held at the First United Methodist Church.

Alex Turner will serve as organist. There will be a reception following the program.

Everyone is invited to attend.

Canasta Club

The Canasta Club met at the home of Debbie Franks in Tyronza recently.

Brenda Shempert of Wynne won high score, Kim Fraley of Crawfordsville won second, Mary Jane Edwards of Earle won low, Judy Tacker Sharp of Marked Tree won bingo.

Others present were Terre Rodgers of Earle, Bobbie Estes of Jonesboro, Kay Lehman of Marion and Lou Burns of Marked Tree.

Thanksgiving guests in the home of Doris Gately were Wayne and Janet Gately, Trent Gately, Trey, Eli, Sydnee Jo Gately, Pam and Scott Gray, Jim and Julie Gately, Sean and Katie and Dane Gray, Greg Phillips, Cy and Edie Brockman of Marion, Lauren and Aliya Gately and John Strobe of West Memphis.

*** Kathy Smith of Cabot, Sydney Gangluff, Staci and Lynn Fitzgerald and family, Karli Potratz, Elizabeth Potratz and Mason Fitzgerald of North Little Rock, Kevin Elms of Russellville, Sinthey Catherine Breyel of Lewisville, Texas, Eric Elms and Corey Lewis of Memphis visited in the home of Sue Ann Elms the day after Thanksgiving.

*** Mary Beth Griffin and Freddie Swindle of Heber Springs, Frankie Swindle, Janis Lancaster and Ken Lancaster of Earle were Thanksgiving dinner guests in the home of Mary Jo and Tommy Staggs.

*** Andrea Jewell of Marietta, Georgia visited Charlene and Elbert Person for Thanksgiving. They enjoyed spending a few days at Mount Magazine near Paris.

Frank Jewell and their son Ian joined them for the return trip home.

*** Mary Jane and J. B. Edwards enjoyed having family members in their home for Thanksgiving.

Included were Linda Jo Branch of Earle, Julie and Andy Thompson and children Lexi and Cooper, Colby Rogers, Brittany Boyd and children Tristan and Carsyn, Angela Shepherd and children Mikayla and Brady of Wynne, Cindy and Rev. Rex Dickey of Fayetteville, Haley and Ben Dickey of Rogers.

Community Christmas Cheer

First Community Bank was the hot spot for holiday finger food last Wednesday afternoon as the folks at the Missouri Street branch in West Memphis hosted their annual open house.
