Celebrating the ‘Gift of Heaven’

Crawfordsville United Methodist Church marks centennial

You are cordially invited to attend the 100 Year Celebration of the Sanctuary Building of Crawfordsville United Methodist Church.

“Gift of Heaven” is a special presentation being presented by the Chancel Choir on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m., at the Crawfordsville United Methodist Church.

The church was built in 1917. Pictured along with a modern-day proto of the church building is an historical photo of Crawfordsville Methodist Church before a number of changes were made in the late 1950s (dormer windows were taken out, doors changed out, the bell tower was moved and the Educational Building was built and attached). All of these changes kept the church off the National Historical Registry, but the site did quality for and is on the Arkansas Historical Registry.

The theme for the centennial event is “Celebrating the past…Committed to the future.” The event is free and the public is invited.
