Lady Devils sweep Chickasaws at home

West Memphis High School’s volleyball team defeated their counterparts from Blytheville in three consecutive sets this past Monday

WM School District The West Memphis Lady Devils picked up a conference volleyball victory on Monday at Lehr Arena as they swept the Blytheville Lady Chickasaws.

The Lady Devils powered their way past the visitors by winning the first two sets 25-14 and 25-17 before edging out Blytheville 26-24 in the decisive set.

Leading the way on offense for the West Memphis girls included junior Cameron Aaron with a team-high 16 assists while junior Anna Nelson provided 8 kills and 3 digs on defense.

Other standouts for West Memphis included Madison King, who chipped in 6 kills on offense while teammate Alexia McGruder added 4.

Also on defense, Chloe Kauffman had 3 blocks while McGruder had 2.

Elissa Waldrip and Nelson topped the team in digs with 3 apiece while Molly Henson enjoyed a fine evening with a team-best 4 aces while Aaron had 3.

The Lady Devils will host Nettleton on Thursday at Lehr Arena.
