OBITUARIES

John Carlton Powers, 66, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, formerly of West Memphis, was born Aug. 19, 1951, and passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Ernest Powers and Sammie Jo Powers. He leaves his wife of 38 years, Judy Powers; two daughters, Shelly (Tim) Clingan of Fayetteville and Miranda Hall of Hot Springs; two sons, Sean Garrett and Scott Garrett both of Hot Springs; four sisters, Norma (Robert) Todd of Arkadelphia, Linda Jo (Gene) Johnson of Cabot, Ginny (John) Webb of Memphis, Tennessee and Cindy (Albert) Patton of Proctor; one brother, James Powers of Paris; three grandchildren; one niece; one nephew; and three greatnieces.

A memorial service will be held Monday, July 17, at 2 p.m., at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
