Marion student shines on stage

Macon making the scene this summer

Stage Door Productions Jimmiria Renee’ Macon, an honor student from Marion High School was recently cast as Razoul in the Stage Door Productions Musical “Aladdin Jr.”

The show was a hit.

She then accepted the offer to work as an intern for Stage Door Productions as well at the Kroc Center in which her role is to teach the campers different plays, theatrical skills including but not limited to learning lines, dancing and singing all in one week and be prepared to put on a 30 minute production on Fridays.

The SDP’s summer interns and campers will put on five shows over the summer break, with Jimmiria assisting in three, “Sleeping Beauty,” “Willy Wonka,” and “The Lion King.”

In September, Jimmiria will also perform in the hit stage musical “Hairspray,” with Stage Door Productions in the African American Ensemble. She is very excited and honored to be an active performer and intern with the company and is looking forward to expanding her resume as more opportunities become available.
