Utility Work on I-40 and 55 requires overnight lane closures in West Memphis

Roadway will be closed between mm 278 and 280 this week from 8 p. m. to 6 a. m.

Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department CRITTENDEN COUNTY — Utility work by West Memphis Utilities will require an overnight lane closures on Interstates 40 and 55 in West Memphis, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Alternating, inside lanes of Interstates 40 and 55 will be closed between mile markers 278 and 280 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. this week, through Friday, May 19.

Traffic will be controlled with message boards, signage and traffic cones. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas. com or ArkansasHighways.com.
