Then on to Kona where the Kona Coffee Plantation is. They finished up with Melinda’s favorite Kauai -Kaola where they saw Spouting Horn Park to see the blowhole and Waimea Canyon which is called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Clean-Ups

Canal Gardens Property Owners Association will have their annual clean-up this Saturday, Aprill 22nd. You can pick-up your garbage bags, gloves and other items supplied by “Keep Arkansas Beautiful” on Southwood Cove in front of the dumpster at 9:00 a.m. Originally, we had a rain date of April 29th, however since the dome seems to cover Horseshoe Lake when the rain comes through, the dumpster for garbage will arrive on Friday, April 21st and be removed on Monday, April 24th. Please NO tires or batteries. There will be a scrapable metal only trailer at 302 Lakewood Dr. (Bacon’s house). All proceeds from trailer will go to the Horseshoe Lake Volunteer Fire Department. This is a good time to get rid of stuff. Special thanks go out to the County Judge and Quorum Court for providing a container and taking care of the landfill fee and to Greg Davenport for loaning us the trailer for scrap metal.

The Town of Horseshoe Lake will have the dumpsters in place starting on Friday May 5th at City Hall on Highland Dr. and dumpsters will be picked up on Monday, May 8th. Senior Citizens who need assistance should contact City Hall at 870-339-3104.
