EBC Revival

Special guests at the revival service held at Earle Baptist Church recently were Co and Lia Keizer of Amsterdam, Holland.

They have been traveling in their motor vehicle for the past 10 months beginning in Halifax, Canada to Alaska, British Columbia then the west part of the United States visiting the national parks.

They spent the winter in Mexico and are now traveling to the northeast of the United States. The couple enjoyed back packing, the nature of the United States and the hospitality of the people.

They visited in the home of Vickey and Rev. Tony Wells.

1st Assembly Women’s Ministry

The Women’s Ministry of the First Assembly of God Church met at the Fellowship Hall April 4 where they enjoyed a supper of baked potato and salad bar along with dessert.

Sue Young gave her testimony with the topic “Spring.”

Among those attending were Laurie Adams, Kim Brooks, Julie Malone, Delores Smith, Anna Armendariz, Phariz Clark, Carolyn Clouse, Tammy Soto, Amy Soto, Tracy Buford, Nicole Peer, Alicia Lenox, Lisa Martinez, Laurie Hoselton.

Michelle McCormick, Adria Roberts, Terre Rodgers, Linda Jo Branch, Wendy Watson, Bonnie Crenshaw, Charlene Person, Amanda Allison, Crystal Winders, Terry Nieswonger and Myra Arquitt.

Door prizes were plants that were used for table decorations.

FUMC Happy

Hour Club

The Happy Hour Club met at the First United Methodist Church Morrison Hall April 3 where they enjoyed a potluck luncheon.

The tables were covered with a pastel colored cloth, decorated with Easter baskets and eggs. Favors were packages of jelly beans.

Becky Knapp, president, presided.

Door prizes were won by J. W. Ellis, Anga Turner, Laura Pritchard, Alex Turner and Frankie Smith.

The group sang “Alleluia! Alleluia!” led by Rev. Tony Wells, accompanied by Alex Turner. Rev. Wells gave the Easter devotional.

Others present were Minnie McCain, Christine Littlejohn, Joanna McLamore, Martha Booker, Sue Dorman, Doris Gately, Dot McKinney, Adria Roberts, Sue Ann Elms, Johnny Jenkins and Vickey Wells.
