For the last 20 years, Clark’s Family Pharmacy has done our best to love and serve the people of Earle, Parkin, Crawfordsville, and other communities in our area. Late Friday night, a devastating fire took over our downtown area.

I was sad to see several businesses and buildings of our downtown not survive. We were so blessed to be able to withstand the blaze. That would not have been possible without the help of so many good people. My family, staff, and friends all rallied together to rescue everything that would be necessary to take care of our patients in the event of a loss. My brothers on the Earle Fire Department were on the scene quickly and fought bravely for hours to try to save a vital portion of our town.

Our brothers on the Marion Fire Department brought personnel and equipment that saved the day for us. Without their manpower and equipment, we would be looking for a site to rebuild our business. We know that we are called to serve Earle and our surrounding communities here at Clark’s. It’s not just a business it’s a calling to serve others. We are excited and so thankful to be able to continue to do what we are called to do. It would be so much more difficult without good people.

It is a special man or woman who serves as a firefighter. Doing excruciating work, in horrible conditions, in seemingly impossible situations to save life and property of people you oftentimes don’t even know.

That is a testimony of a person that we all are better off having know. I could never ever repay the debt I feel I owe to all these men and women from this weekend. Just know that a man in Earle Arkansas will never be the same after witnessing all your great efforts.

Thank you. You are all loved and appreciated.

Mark Clark, Clark’s Family Pharmacy and proud firefighter.
