Elvis Brown, 59, of Jericho, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, in his home. Services Saturday, Jan. 21, 2 p.m. in the Anthony Funeral Home South Chapel with visitation one hour prior to service. He is survived by two sons, Derek Jones and Michael Jones of West Memphis; a sister, Ella Sullivan of Detroit, Michigan; two brothers, Ray Nance of Detroit, Michigan and Frederick Brown of Jericho; an aunt who cared for him, Elnoria Jones of Jericho and two grandchildren.

Charles Norman Cooper

Charles Norman Cooper, age 87, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley, Mississippi. He was born Oct. 27, 1929, in Water Valley to the late Norman Braxton Cooper and Mary Elizabeth Badley Lawson. Charles served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and later worked as an insurance agent. He was a member of Jumpers Chapel Methodist Church and enjoyed singing, reading, playing music at the nursing home and writing articles for the North Mississippi Herald.

Charles and his family were residents of West Memphis for 27 years. While living there he was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, from 12 until 2 p.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley.

Charles is survived by his wife of 48 years, Enriqueta Ortiz Cooper of Water Valley; his daughter, Terri Cooper Dunham (Ricky) of Marked Tree; his son, Jamie Cooper of Portland, Oregon; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Marie Cooper and Shelby Rebecca Doyle; one great-granddaughter, Sofia Delilah Blackstock; and one great-grandson, Edward Elric Chisolm.

Ruthie Mae Curtis

Ruthie Mae Curtis, 86, of West Memphis, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, in Methodist University Hospital. Visitation Friday, Jan. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. in New St. Paul M. B. Church. Services Saturday, Jan. 21, 11 a.m. in New St. Paul Church with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery. Anthony Funeral Home South in charge of service. She is survived by four daughters, Shirley Forte of Calumet City, Illinois, Carolyn Perry and Iris Wardford of West Memphis and Debra Mealing of Jonesboro; four sons, James E. Williams of Memphis, Tennessee, Lawrence Williams of Matteson, Illinois, Raymond Curtis of West Memphis and Glen Curtis of Jonesboro; one sister, Minnie Jean Harris of Chicago, Illinois; 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Willie Mae Hardy

Willie Mae Hardy, 82, of West Memphis, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, in West Memphis Healthcare. Services Saturday, Jan. 21, 11 a.m. in the Anthony Funeral Home South Chapel with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery. She is survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Charles Lee Pace

Charles Lee Pace, 80, of West Memphis died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at his home in West Memphis.

Mr. Pace retired from the Teamster Union as a shift manager at Yellow Freight and did political cartoon’s for the Evening Times, and a U. S. Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Mae Bragg Pace; his parents, James Edgar Pace and Eleonore Grace Callahan Pace.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Weaks; two sons, Terry Weaks (Beth) and Todd Pace; a brother, Tony Pace; three grandchildren, Jereca Cint, Savannah Pace, and Wesley Smith; a great granddaughter, Zada White.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home with services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home with burial following at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas.

Lee E. Perry

Lee E. Perry, 70, of West Memphis, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at his residence. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home. Services Saturday 11 a.m. at Christ Fellowship Church in Parkin. Burial in Marion Memorial Cemetery.

He leaves four daughters, Jacqueline Smothers and Charlotte Perry both of West Memphis, Kenya Perry of Hughes and Tiawanna Cob of Vancover, Washington; four sons, Lee Perry of Edmondson, Mark Perry of Austin, Texas, Daniel Perry and Eric Perry both of West Memphis; four sisters, Pearl Harris and Carlusstine Cannon both of West Memphis, Jerline Bullard of Pine Bluff and Carleatha McNeal of Nashville, Tennessee; four brothers, Lamont Perry of West Memphis, Benjamin Perry of Augusta, Florida, William Perry Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee and Danny Perry of Savannah, Georgia; and a host of grandchildren and greatgreat grandchildren.

Charles Edward Rodgers

Charles Edward Rodgers, 52, of West Memphis, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, in Methodist University Hospital. Visitation Friday, Jan. 20th, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Anthony Funeral Home South Chapel. Services Saturday, Jan. 21, 11 a.m. in True Vine M. B. Church at Sunset with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery. He is survived by six sisters, Jearline Riley of Chicago, Illinois, Sylvia Smith, Gloria Knighten, Frankie Bougard of West Memphis, Edna Davis of Marion and Brenda Tharrington of Knoxville, Tennessee; three brothers, William Smith of Searcy, Arkansas, Stanley and Leroy Knighten of West Memphis.

Margaret Ann Smith

Margaret Ann Smith, 61, of West Memphis, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2017 at Methodist University Hospital. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home. Services Saturday 11 a.m. also at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home with burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery.

She leaves her husband, Ben Smith of West Memphis; three daughters, Latrice McQuin of South Bend, Indiana, Cheree McQuin of West Memphis and Theola McQuin of Jackson, Michigan; a son, Allen McQuin of West Memphis; a sister, Dorothy McQuin of Toledo, Ohio; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Barbara Ann Woods

Barbara Ann Woods, 64 of Turrell, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at Methodist University Hospital. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home Turrell Chapel. Services Saturday 11 a.m. at Union Grove Church in Turrell with burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery.

She leaves her husband, Johnny Woods Sr. of Turrell; two daughters, Diane Woods and Verna Woods both of Marion; two sons Marvin Woods of Marion and Johnny Woods Jr. of Turrell; four sisters; eight brothers; and seven grandchildren.
