I agree with the idea of a pedestrian bridge to cross the interstate near Southland. Or at least add a path on the nearest crossing. [Editor’s Note: There’s a part of me that wonders why, if you do not have a means of transportation, are you spending money on gambling, but that’s not really the issueathand,that’snotreally any of my business. But it is a good idea. I don’t think anyone would say it’s a “bad” idea. The issue would be the cost versus the over a I benefit. It’s easy to say “Well, if it saves one life, then it’s worth it, ” but it’s not easy to say, “Here’s a check for $2 million to build that pedestrian bridge.”Notreallythepoint here, but I also read a story that said that pesestrian bridges w’ere a haven for criminals, using the isolated “nowehere to run ” aspect of the crossings for muggings.

I’m not saying it would happen. I'm just saying it has been a problem in other places]

a few weeks ago there was a news story about recovery of stolen vehicles/equipment near heafer. the cop went thru a muddy field to catch them, the story mentioned suspecting someone who already had a stolen vehicle in their driveway. something does not add up to good work, why wasn’t that vehicle in the driveway still there instead of returned to owner? why was it overlooked until the bigger theft? I am interested in how the detective and law enforcement process works and would like to see an article about basic processes, reasonable expectations of victims, and timeframes, especially in a situation like this — and also where police are informed by victims of thieves posting stolen items on Facebook and it appears no action is taken, having a better understanding may help restore current and past victims’ confidence in our law enforcement, thanks for considering the above.

[Editor’s Note: I ’11 be the first to admit I do not know the inner workings of the law enforcement process. And in the story you reference, there’s probably a lot of superfluous detail that wasn’t pertinent to the story that just wasn’t included. Your story idea, however, is a pretty good suggestion. Back when I was reporting, I got an offer or two to do a ride-along with the WMPD. I never did, but I wish I had. Maybe it’s something wecandointhenearfuture}
