The rash is over according to Crittenden County Sheriff Mike Allen. The trio from Earle caught after their bungled robbery attempt last Wednesday night at the One Stop gas station in Marion faces charges on a string of aggravated robberies and attempted robberies. The most serious of the crimes was shoot‘em up in Wynne.

The three alleged desperados are Tyrell Caldwell, Desmond Dorsey and Monica Bell all young adults haling from Earle.

Allen said the Arkansas State Police working in conjunction the Wynne Police Department will charge Dorsey for shooting the clerk at the Wynne Truck Plaza back on Oct. 27, 2016. The clerk was seriously wounded. Wynne authorities posted surveillance photos of the pair of robbers and have been looking to identify them ever since.

The arrest by Marion Police moments after the attempt this week placed the suspects in custody which allowed authorities to interrogate and charge the bandits for robberies all along Highway 64.

The group faces charges in a Dollar General hold up and an attempted bank robbery in Earle along with the crimes in Wynne and Marion. The arrests led authorities to clear a slate full of unsolved armed robberies.

“This robbery spree is over,” said Mike Allen Thursday afternoon.

Allen pointed to the exhausting work of investigators saying some had been awake for 40 hours.

“I am grateful for the interagency cooperation,” said Allen. “I want to especially thank investigators who worked on it through the night and into this afternoon. I just sent them home for a well deserved night of sleep.”
