The Horseshoe Lake Ladies Bunko played Dec. 6 at the home of Lethia Jo Cupples. This month’s hostess was Summer Bacon. Jeanine Stewart won High Score and she won the roll-off with Debby Allison for Most Big Bunko’s. Summer Bacon won the roll-off with Pat Walters for low score. Debby Allison had the traveler’s pillow at the end of the evening. The ladies enjoyed Chili Frito and Cookies and Crème Pies. They also exchanged Christmas presents.

First United Methodist Church of Hughes would love to have you join them this Advent Season for Sunday Church and Christmas Eve Services. Church at 11 a.m., every Sunday: Christmas Eve at 5 p.m. Come join in for fellowship and Bible preaching.

Decorations Winner

Billy and Shelia Justus are the winners this year in the Christmas Yard Decorating Contest. Their home faces Horseshoe Drive, and their two lots are on the corner of Horseshoe Circle and Highland Drive. They get to display a candy cane with “WINNER” on it this year and then they will give back for the winners next year. The Justus’s will get to have a custom made wreath of their choice to keep as a reminder of their efforts.

Plantation Art Gallery had an opening on Dec. 10. On display was Pottery made by Barb McKee, Paintings done by Scott Plaisted and wood work by “Trucker Fred” Plaisted.
