Benefit grants Christmas wishes for Bikes for Tykes
County Extension Agent 4-H
Arkansas 4-H Citizenship/ Leadership programs are the foundation of 4-H work in Arkansas. Each Crittenden County 4-H club hosts or participates in at least one community service event annually. Crittenden County 4-H Shooting Sports Club hosted their 3rd annual Breakfast with Santa Fundraiser benefiting Bikes for Tykes. Entry to this event was only $5 and included a pancake breakfast, a Christmas craft, a digital photo with Santa, and a chance to explore a fire truck.
The success of this event partnered with donations from local businesses and individuals allowed us to purchase 100 bicycles for local limited resource Crittenden county youth last year. If you would like to purchase a bike for a tyke donations can be dropped off at the Crittenden County Extension Office before Wednesday, Dec. 21. Each bike costs $60.
We would like to thank the City of Marion and the Marion Fire Station for allowing us to host our event at the Marion Fire Station, the Christian Motorcycle Association for donating their time, money, and effort into cooking a delicious pancake breakfast, and the many 4-H leaders, members, and volunteers who donated their time to make this event a success.
