6:00 and no paper today!

[ Editor’s Note: Hopefully you got your paper a little after your text. Our press had some mechanical issues on Monday ( which, honestly, continued into Tuesday, but we were better prepared to deal with it then), and it was late in the day before we got the paper printed and out the door. Sorry for the delay, and hopefully it won’t be an issue going forward. I know that it’s not an option for some and not a preference for others, but the online edition is almost always available by 10 a. m. that day, so if you’re a subscriber, you are welcome to

give that a try]

*** If you can get your shopping done over the internet DO IT!!! This traffic and these people with no home training when you go out shopping ain’t worth it folks. Never seen nothing like it… [ Editor’s Note: Over the past 10 or 12 years my enthusiasm for Black Friday shopping has been up and down depending on what must- have items were on my list. But for the past few years, as my kids have gotten older, I’ve found it less and less appealing, and this year, for the first time, I did exactly zero Thanksgiving weekend Christmas shopping, with the exception of a few items I picked up online. Don’t get me wrong. I absolutely love Christmas shopping, but we’re going to kick it off in earnest this weekend. I don’t feel like I missed a thing by skipping out on the first weekend frenzy. I get why people do it. You just have to weigh whether the money you save is worth the hassle. And believe me, there have been years when it definitely was for us]
