Cora J. Beard, 69, of West Memphis, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, in Methodist University Hospital. Visitation Saturday, Dec. 3, from 9 to 11 a.m. in Mt. Nebo M.B. Church, 555 Vance, Memphis. Services will follow at 11 a.m. in the church with burial in Marion Memorial Cemetery. Anthony Funeral Home South in charge of service. She is survived by two sons, Charles Beard of West Memphis and Michael L. Beard of Houston, Texas; one sister, Barbara Black of Memphis; three brothers, Earnest Black of Kansas City, Missouri, Joseph Black and Melvin Black of Memphis; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Annie L. Burton

Annie L. Burton, 86, of West Memphis, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, in Methodist University Hospital. Visitation Friday, Dec. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Anthony Funeral Home South Chapel. Services Saturday, Dec. 3, 11 a.m., in Fifteenth Street Church of God in Christ. Burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Lane of West Memphis and Annette Demitt of Memphis; two step daughters, Callie Mae Burton and Leola Burton of West Memphis; five sons, Joseph Burton of Memphis, Allen Burton, Charles Burton, Leroy Burton and Donald Burton of West Memphis; one sister, Ida Bell Thomas of West Memphis; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Clent Edwards

Clent Edwards, 71, of West Memphis, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, in Methodist University Hospital. Visitation Saturday, Dec. 3, from 9 to 11 a.m. in Harvestime Fellowship Church at Lansing, Arkansas. Services will follow at 11 a.m. in the church with burial in Marion Memorial Cemetery. Anthony Funeral Home South, in charge of services. He is survived by his wife, Martha Jean Edwards of West Memphis; two daughters, Victoria Posey of Jonesboro and Kimbal McVay Butler of West Memphis; one son, Clent Edwards, Jr. of West Memphis; four sisters, Dorothy Edwards, Clara Williams, Martha Clark and Allean Mitchell of West Memphis; three brothers, Elder Kevin Wayne Edwards, Rev. Eugene Edwards of West Memphis, Leroy Mitchell and David Edwards of Houston, Texas; 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Tony Payne

Tony Payne, 53, of Little Rock, formerly of Clarkedale, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, in UAMS. Visitation Saturday, Dec. 3, from 11 a.m. until noon at the Anthony Funeral Home South Chapel. Services will follow at 12 noon in the south chapel. He is survived by five sisters, Evelyn Payne of Little Rock, Lataline Payne of Little Elm, Texas, Jacqueline Payne, Sonya Payne and Allonya Payne of Memphis.
