Docettes set to hold 48th annual Debutante Cotillion

Community invited to special event Dec. 4 at RiverPAC

ralphhardin@gmail.com The Docettes Society Club, Inc. requests the honor of your presence.

This Sunday, Dec. 4, beginning at 6 p.m., the community is invited to the West Memphis Civic Auditorium at the RiverPAC, in West Memphis, for the 48th annual Debutante Cotillion. The Docettes are a nonprofit civic organization dedicated to community service, including the Debutante Scholarship Program. The program provides young ladies who are graduating seniors who have chosen to become Debutantes and aim to further their education upon graduation from high school by enrolling in the college of their choice.

The Docettes are inviting the public to the cotillion as these 10 young ladies from the 2016 Debutantes make their formal debut into society as representatives of the Docettes. During their three-month tenure with the Docettes Society, the Debutantes took part in a number of activities, including a Young Ladies Workshop, the Docettes’ annual Cancer

Awareness Walk, a Mother & Daughter Dinner, a Canned Food Drive and Thanksgiving basket presentation

to a needy family, and a visit to a nursing home to make a gift presentation and sing Christmas carols to the residents.

The Docettes would like to thank local businesses and the community for their help in sponsoring the Debutantes through donations and advertising.

For more information about the Docettes or for information about the cotillion, see any Docette member, including Cynthia Cheatham, Carolyn Mills, Leonard and Betty Robinson, Gregory and Dorrinda Roberts, or Carla Ely.
