Southland Park seeks to grant ‘Holiday Wishes’

Promotions spread cheer with the spirit of the season

Southland Park Gaming & Racing Southland Park Gaming & Racing is once again seeking to spread the holiday spirit of giving by executing its “Holiday Wishes” promotion that began at noon on Black Friday.

In addition to its extremely successful “12 Tournaments of Christmas” promotion, which donates toys and cash to the West Memphis Toys for Tots foundation each holiday season, Southland Park is partnering with Q107.5 to make an undetermined amount of Mid-South wishes come true.

Through the company's facebook page, fans have been asked to provide their holiday wishes for themselves and loved ones.

Southland Park representatives are then reviewing the submissions and, based on volume and availability, contacting the individuals to grant their wish.

“This is a promotion our Marketing team has executed for several years and over that time we have been able to provide Christmas gifts, a headstone and even paid a house foreclosure for area fans and their loved ones,” said David Wolf, Southland Park president and general manager.

“The spirit of giving is something that can't be conveyed enough, in our opinion, so we truly relish the opportunity to grant these wishes.”

Southland Park created a facebook application that houses this year's Holiday Wishes, providing guests an opportunity to share their wish. Q107.5 will be promoting this year's event on their morning show and will subsequently air wishes as they are granted.
