With Thanksgiving almost here, I want to thank the churches who go above and beyond to help families in need. That is a great blessing to do that. Those families can now have a better day and a good hot meal!!! I know I was one of those people that received a basket/bag to help me. With times being hard for some people. we will have a Blessed Thanksgiving that came from 1st Assembly in West Memphis. God Bless you in many ways. [ Editor’s Note: We have had a handful of churches who have sent us notices this year about their Thanksgiving food giveaways, community dinners, canned food drives and other holidaythemed charitable events, and as always, we’re happy to promote them. And there are many others who have done and continue to do even more within their church families and throughout the community that we’ll never hear about, but that doesn’t lessen the impact that those efforts will have on those who receive the blessing from it. From “ Coats for Kids” to “ Bikes for Tykes” to every other altruistic endeavor planned for the next several weeks, let us know and we’ll spread the word]

*** Would be good reporting if under Freedom of Information stories like the child left at Krystal and all DHS issues and criminal activity that the public be informed of such as EBT cards, free cell phone, baby checks, free diapers, milk and whether the car they driving paid for by or through a government sponsored program and the list never stops. [ Editor’s Note: I don’t think that’s an accurate depiction of how the Freedom of Information Act works. I will say that there are thousands of people every day who receive government assistance that don’t leave their children in the Krystal parking lot, so try-ing to draw a connection between those two concepts is a stretch at best. But you and I might have a different idea of what “ good reporting” is as well, so we might just need to agree to disagree on this one]

*** Can you tell me when the Marion Christmas Parade is?
