• West Memphis Thanksgiving Sanitation Schedule – Monday,

& Tuesday, Nov. 22nd customers will be serviced on Monday, Nov. 21st. Wednesday, Nov. 23rd & Thursday, Nov. 24th customers will be serviced on Tuesday, Nov. 22nd. Friday, Nov. 25th customers will be serviced on Wednesday, Nov. 23rd. No service on Thursday, Nov. 24th and Friday, Nov. 25th

• Crittenden County Election Commission Meeting – There will be a run-off election on Nov. 29 at the St. Luke Church in Earle for the Ward 4 position between Sarah Johnson and Tyrone Hurst. There will be early voting at the Courthouse in Marion Monday thru Wednesday, Nov. 21 thru Nov. 23 and Monday, Nov. 28. On election day the polls will be open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.

• World Aids Day – Thursday, Dec. 1 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the West Memphis Public Library, 213 N. Avalon, West Memphis. Sponsored by Melvin Watson Community Connector of Northeast Arkansas. For more information call 870-702-6614.

• Chili Supper and Silent Auction – Friday, Dec. 9 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the West Memphis High School Cafeteria sponsored by the West Memphis Athletic Booster Club. Eat in or carry out. There will be a limited number of cinnamon rolls that may be purchased for $8.50 a dozen with the purchase of a Chili Supper ticket.

• Coats for Kids – Victory Church is giving away brand new coats for kids at 1800 N. Missouri St., Suite 1B, West Memphis on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. until noon. Sizes range from infant (12 months) to boys and girls size 18. Children must be present to get a coat. First come – First served.

• Main Street West Memphis Saturdays with Santa – Santa visit with photos Saturday Dec. 3, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17, 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at 311 E. Broadway.

• AARP Drivers Safety Course – Tuesday, Dec. 13, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the West Memphis Library. The course is open to everyone, NO TEST, with completion of the class you will receive a form to file with your car insurance company for a three year discount. AARP members $15, nonmembers $20.
