MHS students honor veterans

Students in Anne Creekmore’s special education honored U.S. veterans last Friday with a flag-raising ceremony at Marion High School. The special flag was flown over the U.S. Capital and donated to the school by Arkansas Sen. John Boozman. Sgt. First Class Shonnon Sims (top, left) and SSgt. Jonathan Hoskin help the students secure the flag to the pole in front of the school. Creekmore’s students (bottom) as well as MHS and MSD staff gathered around for a group photo after the flag was hoisted.
