Lemon Clark Jr., 82, of West Memphis, passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 at his residence. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home.
Services Saturday, Nov. 12, 11 a.m. at New Jerusalem Church with burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery. He leaves his wife, Earnestine Reel of West Memphis; five daughters, Vanessa Clark of Inglewood, California, Orleander Burns and Loistene Irby both of Memphis, Vickie Burns of West Memphis and Laquita Bell of Marion; three sons, Joe Lee Clark of Atlanta, Georgia, Frederick Clark of Florence, Arizona and Paul Clark of Memphis; two sisters, Annie Banks of West Memphis and Sylvia Banks of San Diego, California; 26 grandchildren, 50 greatgrandchildren and two greatgreat- grandchildren.
David L. Harris
David L. Harris, 60, of South Dartmount, Massachusetts, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 in his residence. Born in Edmondson, Arkansas, a son of the late Isaiah and Pearline (Tate) Harris, Sr., he graduated from the University of Memphis in 1978 after graduating from West Memphis High School in 1974. David worked in accounting for 26 years before retiring as Director of Finance at Olin Aegis in 2004. David was an intense competitor and enjoyed working out at the New Bedford YMCA and watching baseball and football. He loved discussing politics and current events.
Visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. in First Missionary Baptist, West Memphis. Services Saturday, Nov. 12, 1 p.m. in First M. B.
Church with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery.

Harris (Patricia) Harris of Marion; a special niece, Angel M. Harris of Edmondson; and other nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
John L. Anthony Smith Jr.
John L. Anthony Smith Jr., 74, passed away on Oct. 30, 2016. He was born on Sept.
16, 1942, to the late Mr. John L.
Anthony Sr. and Ms. Minnie May Wilson Anthony in Heth.
John L. was preceded in death by his parents, and Mr.
Luke Smith Sr., who raised him; two brothers, Arthur Gene Smith and Hermon Smith; and one sister Shirley Ann “Pam” Smith.
He was a member of Shiloh M.B. Church, where he was an usher. He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted friend, Sandra Hoard, and her children who he helped raise, Tina Hoard, Carlos Hoard, Andre Hoard, and Antonio Hoard. He also leaves six daughters, Tarsha Caldwell of West Memphis, Trekena Caldwell, Lisa Caldwell and Danja Harris of Earle, Asia Dancy of Jonesboro, and Brittney Dancy of Little Rock; four sons, Derry (Teresa) Smith of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Lonnie Corey Smith of San Diego, Immanuel (Tanya) Hoard of Marion and John L. Smith of Junction City, Kansas.
He also leaves two brothers, Daniel Smith of Bellville, Illinois and Luke (Mae Francis) Smith Jr. of Shearerville; five sisters, Dorothy Collins (Climmie T.
White) of West Memphis, Delois (Willie James) Germany of Washington Park, Illinois, Sherry Ann Smith of Bellville, Illinois and Ola B.
Smith of Kansas City, Missouri; as well as 20 grandchildren and a host of relatives, nieces, nephews and friends; including a special friend, Ricky Wilson; and a special stepson Tyree Caldwell.
Services were Saturday, Nov. 5, at Whole Truth Gospel Church in Earle, with interment at the Shiloh M.B.
Church Cemetery in Crawfordsville.

Desmond Darrell Young
Desmond Darrell Young, 27, of Hot Springs passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, from complications of Sickle Cell Anemia. He was born March 31, 1989, in Memphis.
He was a graduate of Earle High School Class of 2007.
Desmond attended ACTI and was a graduate of ABC Barber School.
He was employed with Total Image Salon & Barbering all in Hot Springs.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Arthur Guess, Sr.; and great grandparents, Isiah and Elnora Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Shantel Kelley Young; his children, Jamesa Graves, and Christyle Rourk; his parents, Wednesday Guess (Arthur) Cheers; his father figures, Michael (Faye) Young and Neal (Ursula) Bailey; his siblings, twin brother, Raeshawn Young (Paula Benvades), Natasha (Freddie) Williams, April Bailey, Haley Alston, Arthur “A.J.” (Sharita) Cheers, Courtney Martin, Justin (Porsha) Johnson, Makayla Young and Shaquille “Bo” Young; grandmother, Pearl Guess; in-laws, Clarence and Delois Kelley, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Clarence Kelley, III and Eric Kelley; nieces and nephews, Jordan, Nariya, Lauren, Gianni, Bailee, Khenedy, and Marley; one uncle, Arthur (Carloss) Guess, Jr.; two aunts, Ara Guess and Adilah Guess; great aunt, Vera (Donald) Douglas a host of extended family and friends including, George “G” Mathis, Jr.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Pilgrim Rest Christian Church Peoples Road Crawfordsville, (Jennette Community) Burial will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
