The Parkman Sisters, Susie Jones, Marti Ramsey and Christy Gross, presented the program when the Earle Music Coterie met at the Earle Baptist Church Oct. 20.
They sang “Keep On The Sunny Side” made famous by the Carter Family, “Lolly Pop” by the Lennon Sisters, “All The Gold In California” made famous by Larry Gatlin, “Will The Circle Be Unbroken?”, “Autumn’ Leaves” sung by the Andrews Sisters and “Jesus Keep Me Near The Cross.”
Janis Lancaster was program leader.
Sue Ann Elms presided and led the reading of the club collect.
Mary Jo Staggs told the story of the song “When Johnny Comes Marching Home” followed by group singing led by Janis Lancaster and accompanied by Susie Jones.
Eric Elms was in charge of the poetry moment and read “To Be Of Use” by Marge Piercy.
The meeting closed with those attending singing “Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee.”
Co-hosts ere Rev. Stacie Grubbs and Donna Hooker.
Other members present were Allison Bird, Ken Lancaster, Christine Littlejohn, Jane Speed and Frankie Swindle.
Visitors included Laura Pritchard, Patty and Johnny Jenkins, Anga, Alex and Caleb Turner, Eda Claire Slabaugh, Lucille Person and Minnie McCain.
First Assembly Youth Trip
A group of children from the First Assembly of God Church were at First Assembly of God Church in Benton last weekend where they participated in Fun Arts.
Elijah Smith won a silver medal in Bible memorization, Carrieann Parnell was presented with a silver metal in voice and Landon Holloway participated in photography.
They enjoyed watching other children present puppet shows, gospel illusions, interpret sign language and acting out human videos.
Other children taking the trip included David Parnell, Kalee Hill, Michelle Strickland, Olivia Burton, Cooper and Lexi Thompson and Thalia Garza.
Chaperones were Nicole Peer, Crystal Holloway, Sandy Holloway, Tammy Soto, who is children’s church director; Amy Soto, children’s leader; Laurie Adams and Clayton Adams, pastor.
