A look at ‘Walmart vs. the Morons’

This observation crossed our path recently and we thought it was so appropriate that it was certainly worthy of sharing in the traditional old-fashioned way — your community newspaper.

The subject is “Walmart vs. The Morons,” and it begins by pointing out the phenomenal success of the largest retailer in the world. For instance, Americans spend $36 million at Walmart every hour of every day; Walmart is bigger than Home Depot, Kroger, Target, Sears, Costco and Kmart combined.

Walmart employs 1.6 million people, sells more food than Kroger and Safeway combined and sells more food than any other store in the world.

It was suggested that maybe we should hire the management team that runs Walmart to fix the economy because Barrack Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature are corrupt morons, based on such facts as: –The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775, and these politicians have had 240 years to get it right and it is broke.

–Social Security was established in 1935. They have had 80 years to get it right and it is broke.

–Fannie Mae was established in 1938, and after 78 years to get it right it is broke.

–The War on poverty started in 1964, and after 52 years, $1 trillion of our tax dollars have been siphoned off and given to “the poor,” and these people on want more.

–Medicare and Medicaid were also established in 1964 and they too are broke.

–Freddie Mac was established in 1970 and after 45 years, it is broke.

–The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen the dependence on foreign oil. It has 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before.

The facts speak for themselves and make it clear that the politicians, both Democrats and Republicans, we elect and send to Washington have failed in every “government service.” The question was then asked if these “moron” politicians can be trusted with a government-run health care system now known as Obamacare?

It was pointed out that the United States is broke and can’t help seniors, veterans, orphans or the homeless but over the last several months have provided billions of U.S. tax dollars to Haiti, Chile, and Turkey and now Pakistan.

With this said it was suggested that: Hillary be sentenced to prison; put “GOD” back in America, close borders and make members of Congress be on the same retirement and health care plans as everybody else.

The suggestion was made that mandatory drug screening before and during welfare; no government services for non-citizens; balance the budget, stop giving our tax dollars to foreign countries, fix the tax code and last but not least, respect our military, our flag and our law enforcement.

At no other time in recent history has it been so important to get involved, take the time to get educated and start electing people to political office regardless of the party affiliation who are concerned about majority rather than the minority and this country’s failures rather than themselves and their personal political careers and self-serving agendas.
