Two men are under arrest following an afternoon drive-by shooting in Earle.

Crittenden County Sheriff Mike Allen said the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. on Monday when police received a report of shots fired into a residence located on Arkansas Street near Mississippi Street in Earle.

According to police, the shots came from suspects driving a white vehicle with a donut spare tire on the passenger side.

No one was injured, but there were four people inside the residence.

Quincy Sanders, 23, of 2714 Church Street, West Memphis, and Desmond Davis, 24, of 511 Haden Avenue, Crawfordsville, were charged with terroristic acts, aggravated assault, theft by receiving, and fleeing. Sanders also was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.

Allen said CCSO Deputy Sgt. Tony Bailey was on his way to the call when he noticed a vehicle matching the description coming from Earle.

Bailey pulled the white Toyota Camry over at a residence located at 3607 Hwy 64.

“He spotted the vehicle and ended up stopping them around Ebony,” Allen said.

One of the suspects fled on foot but was apprehended behind the home, where Allen said investigators recovered two .40 caliber handguns, one of which had been reported stolen in Memphis.

“The man ran behind the house and dumped the weapons,” Allen said.

Allen said investigators also recovered a shell casing linking the two men to the shooting.

“There was a spent casing that was found on the outside of the car ,” Allen said. “It had been ejected and landed on the edge of the trunk by the rear window so they left a little trail.”

Both suspects denied involvement.

The investigation was aided by Marion Police and Arkansas State Police.
