Minnis honored at Capitol

Academies of West Memphis English teacher Cherilyn Minnis was honored at the state Capitol in Little Rock on Wednesday after being named regional teacher of the year. Pictured with Department of Education Commissioner Johnny Key (left) and governor Asa Hutchinson, Minnis was one of 14 teachers honored in the event at the Old Supreme Court Room.
