Floyce D. “Gator” Gatewood, 72, of West Memphis passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2016. He was born May 24, 1944, in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Carl and Hazel Gatewood. He owned and operated Gator Print. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Bobbie Gatewood; two daughters, Janet (Kenny) Byard of Marion, Kathleen (Gerry) Walsberg of Marion; one son, Joe Douglas (LeAnn Carter) Gatewood, Sr. of Brighton, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Christopher (Samantha) West of Hernando, Mississippi and Joe Douglas Gatewood, Jr. of Brighton, Tennessee; five great-grandchildren, Brayden, Ameya, Carson, Jackson, Brennah; one sister, Linda (Ben) Wells of Osceola; two brothers, Billy Gatewood of Osceola and Carl Gatewood of Millington, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Clifford Gatewood. Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roller-Swift Funeral Home. Virginia “Ginny” Clay May
Virginia “Ginny” Clay May, 61, of Hughes, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ruby Clay; a sister, Susie Clay; and two brothers, Clayton and James Clay.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Mark May of Hughes; her sons, Clay Michael May (Jessica Womack) of West Memphis and Timothy Clayton May (Misty Ann) of Horseshoe Lake; five grandchildren, Devin Riley May, Allie Marie May, Cale Lain Howton, Hunter Davis Womack, Natalee Elizabeth May; her sister, Mary Dunlap (Eddie) of Arlington, Tennessee; and two brothers, Frankie Clay of Little Rock and Steve Clay (Regina) of Marked Tree.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home. Services will be on Thursday, at 10 a.m. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home with interment following at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.
