OBITUARIES
Joe Nealie Hoard, 84, of Earle, passed away Friday, Sept. 9. 2016, in St. Francis Hospital. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., at St. Luke Church in Earle, and again Saturday, from 11 a.m. until 12 noon. Funeral services begin at noon, at St. Luke, with burial in St. Luke Cemetery in Earle.
He leaves his wife, Bertha Hoard of Earle; seven daughters, Janet Hoard of Marion, Sandra Hoard and Lisa Strong both of Earle, Gwendolyn Brooks of Atlanta, Georgia, Jerrie Henderson of Conway, Votina Brown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Felecia Martin of Little Rock; seven sons, Elder Joe Hoard Jr. and Phil Hoard both of Marion, Thirest Hoard, Jerry Hoard, Terions Hoard and Neil Bailey all of Earle and Darrell Brown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Van Johnson
Van Johnson of West Memphis passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016. Van leaves his father, Cye Robinson of Bronx, New York.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Vancino Johnson of Benton Harbor, Michigan; his sisters, Bridget Crawford, Taras (Michael) Davis, Gwen Crawford, Mary (John) Stafford, Van Ruffin and Mammie Smith, all of West Memphis, Indgrid Burnette of Memphis, Amy Sanders, Tammy Perry of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Shirley Payton, Octavia Tyler of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; his brothers, Gregory (Armary) Crawford, Barron (Marshall) Crawford, Cyrus Robinson, Larry (Cleo) Crawford, Earl Crawford, Cody Crawford, Willie Smith, Morgan Smith and Edward Smith all of West Memphis.
Memorial will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home at 11 a.m.
Vera Mosley
Vera Mosley, 99, of Turrell, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, in Turrell. Funeral service will be Friday, 5 p.m., at Clayton Temple in Turrell, with burial in Marion Memorial Cemetery. Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
She leaves a daughter, Barbara McGee of Turrell; three sons, Wendell Mosley, Jackie Mosley and Norman Mosley all of Turrell; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
