Leoma M. Gary, 89 of Marion passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Carl Junction, Missouri, the daughter of the late Elmer Charles and Lillie Elliott Crampton.

Ms. Gary was known by many as the past secretary of the Ingram Boulevard Baptist Church and a receptionist with Express Inn. She loved to play piano, crochet, and knit.

Leoma is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Key and son-in-law Albert R. Key; three grandchildren, Mike Jackson (Phyllis), Amy Moses (David), and Daniel Key; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive Ms.

Gary. She was preceded in death by two brothers. The family will receive their friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday Aug. 4, 2016, with funeral services immediately following all in the chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis. Interment will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests any memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association. Vernon Messer

Vernon Messer, 74, Laurel, Mississippi was born July 13, 1942, and entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 31, 2016 at her residence. Ms. Messer was a long time nurse by profession and for many years lived in the Cherokee Village, Arkansas area, a place she loved very much. Vernon is survived by her daughter, Regina Shoemake-Motes of Laurel, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Kelly Jackson Beach, David Jackson, Dustin Shoemake, and Karla Shoemake. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, Byron, Diamond, Malasia, Austin, Tiffany, Michael, and Adalynn; and one great-great grandchild, Zavianna in addition to two sisters; Violet (Jay) Haney of West Memphis and Shirley Fogarty of Cherokee Village.

One brother, Howard (Sharon) Gosa of Olive Branch, Mississippi survives her as well. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy Ward; one daughter, Levata Edwards; two twin sons, Keith and Kevin Daniels; and one brother Eldridge L. Gosa, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m.

Friday August 5, 2016, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis with Funeral Services immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park.
