• Avondale Elementary Registration for Kindergarten and 1st Grade

– Through Monday,

the first day of school. Registration hours 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. M-F. Those students fully registered are invited to participate in Avondale’s ‘Kindergarten Kamp’ on Wednesday, Aug. 3 from 9 to 11 a.m. or on Thursday, Aug. 4 from 4 to 6 p.m. Children must be 5 years of age before Aug. 1 to register for kindergarten. • Lakeshore Community Clean-Up – Fill the Dumpster at New Home Baptist Mission, 377 Estate, the church next to the park now through Wednesday, Aug. 3.

• West Memphis Metropolitan Planning Organization – Citizens Advisory Committee and Public Meeting on Tuesday,

Activities include: Etiquette training, mentoring, gymnastics, strengthening and conditioning workout, basic and advanced dance techniques, leadership development, community service, fundraising project and two field trips.
