Weems Basketball Camp tips today

Backpack giveaway scheduled for Friday from 5- 7 p. m.

WM School District West Memphis professional basketball player Sonny Weems will host the Weems Basketball Academy 2016 this week at Lehr Arena.

The camp, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday is open for boys and girls ages 1012. Limited spots are available.

As he does each year, Weems, the former Razorback star who played last season in the NBA, will host a Back to School backpack giveaway on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Lehr Arena.

Elementary school children in grades kindergarten through third grade will receive school supplies in each backpack on a firstcome- first-serve basis.
