news@theeveningtimes.com
Sunday July 24th, Three Trees Cowboy church will be celebrating the National Day of the Cowboy!
Right after their regular church service, Three Trees will have a big Chuckwagon BBQ dinner.
And after all the eating is done they'll celebrate with some cattle sorting, a dummy-roping contest, a quick-draw contest, and a big ol’ watermelon-eating contest.
All of the events are free, and the winner of each event will get to choose from a list of mission efforts and $500 will be donated in the winner’s name. Also, Sparky the Longhorn will be there, and whoever guesses closest to the width of his horns wins a gift card!
An invitation to the community was recently posted on the Three Trees Facebook page.
“Come on out to Three Trees Cowboy Church and celebrate our Western Heritage with us — its the National Day of the Cowboy! Everybody welcome!”
Three Trees Cowboy Church is located at 222 County Rd. 381, in Wynne.
