Arrest made in Earle homicide

18- year- old to face murder, other charges

ralphhardin@gmail.com Crittenden County Sheriff Mike Allen has announced the arrest of a suspect in the shooting death of an Earle man.

Allen disclosed last Friday that Larry Jermaine “Little Larry” Allen, 18, of Earle, was arrested following an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Sheriff’s Department.

On July 6, Jackie Lincoln, a 29-year-old Earle resident, was killed in his home when someone fired multiple shots from outside the residence into the home. Shots from different caliber weapons were used in the assault, and one round struck Lincoln in the head. He was trasnported to the Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, but later died from his injuries.

According to reports, there were additional individuals inside the home, including three children under the age of five, though no one else was seriously injured.

Larry Allen was described as “the first suspect” in the sheriff’s report on the arrest.

“On July 14, investigators arrested Allen on a warrant issued out of West Memphis District for murder,” said Sheriff Allen. “The investigation is currently ongoing and additional arrests are forthcoming. I would like to thank the Criminal Investigation Division of the Sheriff’s Department for their hard work and dedication in bring this case to this point.”

“Little Larry” was apprehended at a residence in Ebony on Highway 64 on Thursday afternoon and charged with Terroristic Act/Shooting that Causes Physical Injury or Death, Battery in the 1st Degree, Aggravated Assault, and Murder in the 1st Degree.

Allen was arraigned in District Court in West Memphis on Friday and is

currently being held in the Crittenden County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.
