Ilene Edge Ashley, 82, of Proctor, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ashley; her parents, Renard and Mae Edge; her son, James Wayne Ashley; her daughter, Linda Jane; and her brother, Jimmy Edge.

She was survived by her son, David R. Ashley of West Memphis; two daughters, Brenda Griggs (Bryan) of Marion and Shirley Ashley of Proctor; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her sister, Pat Mumme of San Antonio, Texas; four brothers, Julius Edge of Heber Springs, Carl Edge (Stella) of Lake City, Earnest Edge (Carolyn) of Fayetteville and Donald Edge (Phyllis) of Russellville; numerous friends; and many thanks to a special friend, Betty Saragosa.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Visitation will be on Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home. Services will be on Tuesday, at 1 p.m. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

Ernest Dale Bowien

Ernest Dale Bowien, 82, of Marion passed away Friday, July 15, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Andrew Bowien and Kate Stockton; his wife of 40 years, Patricia Bowien; three brothers; and one sister.

He was survived by a son, Jeff Bowien of North Carolina; a daughter, Debbie Wilson of Cumming, Georgia; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 19, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Crittenden Memorial Park.

Archie Kenneth Spears

Archie Kenneth Spears, 75, of Marion passed away Friday, July 15, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mildred Spears; two brothers; and a sister.

He was survived by his wife of 33 years, Elizabeth Spears of Marion; two sons, Kenneth Spears (Tammy) of Gassville and David Tilley of Mountain View; four daughters, Tammy Cook (Christopher) of Marion, Brenda Hawkins, Debbie Wilson (David) both of Conway and Wendy Slinkard (Nathan) of Marion; a host of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Peggy Harrison of Memphis, Tennessee.

Visitation will be on Monday, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Roller Citizens Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. with interment following at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

Mary Estelle (Hall) Tiebel

Mary Estelle (Hall) Tiebel, 96, of West Memphis passed this life to be with the Lord, Friday, July 15, 2016, at Broadway Healthcare Center in West Memphis.

Mary was born in Jack’s Creek, Tennessee on Nov. 5, 1919, to the late Thomas Dee Hall and Bertha Hamlet Hall.

Mary was a lifelong member of the Missouri Street Church of Christ in West Memphis.

Mary graduated from Memphis State College in 1947 with a degree in education with emphasis in English and Literature and was a lifelong educator. Mary taught at every grade level in elementary through high school as well at the college level. She began her teaching career in Tennessee and eventually ended up in Arkansas where she taught in Forrest City, where she met her husband before moving to West Memphis. Mary taught many people in the West Memphis community at the old Hulbert School on Avalon. She was a member of the ADK Teachers Sorority. She ended her teaching career at the elementary school in Crawfordsville school district.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Dee Hall and Bertha Hamlet Hall; her husband who left this earth on March 19, 1966; two brothers, Dee Roy Hall and Edward Addison Hall; and one sister, Leslie Edith Hall.

Mary is survived by two sons, Stephen Thomas Tiebel of Malvern and David Richard, (Teresa), Tiebel of Marion; one sister, Evelyn Hall Autrey of Lexington, Tennessee; two grandsons, Paul Richard, (Keri), Tiebel, III of Marion and Barton Collier Tiebel of Fayetteville.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 20, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., with services to immediately follow at 11:30 a.m., at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, with Brother Mike Seale, minister at Missouri Street Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, that any donations to be made to West Memphis Christian School in West Memphis, or the charity of their choice.

Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, 201 Pine St., West Memphis, is in charge of the arrangements.
