Donaldson Golden Anniversary

Tommy and JoAnn Donaldson recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They were married at First Assembly of God, 255 N. Highland, Memphis, Tennessee by Pastor James E. Hamill, on May 15, 1966.

50 years ago they had a fantastic honeymoon trip traveling over 6,000 miles, taking in 17 states. They recently retraced this trip, adding a few more interesting places and more miles. The trip included seeing Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial Monument, Yellowstone National Park, Custer National Forest, a train ride from Williams, Arizona to the Grand Canyon, Old Faithful Geyser, Redwood National Forest (where they drove the car through the Chandelier Redwood tree), and had a beautiful drive along the coast of Oregon and California. They were amazed at all the changes at the different sights that have been made since their first trip.

Tommy is retired from Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. JoAnn is retired from the City of West Memphis, Finance Department. They have three sons and three daughters-in-law; Tom and Melissa, Bryan and Lori, and Devin and Allison; and eight wonderful grandchildren.
