Harrell Golden Wedding Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harrell, of Marion, will be celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary on June 26, 2016 with a reception at Marion First Baptist Church hosted by their children.

Harrell and the former Margaret Ann Heair were married June 26, 1966, in Newton, Mississippi. The couple met while attending Clark Memorial College. Margaret had aspirations of becoming a pharmacist and Robert a southern baptist preacher. The two were love struck and they could hear wedding bells. Robert is the son of the late Hulon and Idalie Harrell of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Margaret is the daughter of Maddie Heair and the late Ellis Heair of Houston, Mississippi.

Robert followed in his fathers footsteps, and worked for and retired from the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. Out on the rails he was known as 'Babyson'. Margaret worked for several business throughout the years and retired from the VA Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

The couple has three children, two sons-in-law, and a daughter-in-law; Robert E. Harrell, Jr. aka Bobby and his wife Tara of Marion; Allison Harrell Cain and her husband Tim of Benton; and Kimberly Harrell Vaughn and her husband Keith of Marion.

The Harrell's also have eight grandchildren: Sara Cadwell, Kayla Harrell, Natalie Cain, Nathan Cain, Shelby Vaughn, Jayden Harrell, Sydney Vaughn and Sylar Vaughn. Two great-grandchildren: McKenna Harrell and Presley Hines and one grandson-inlaw, Johnny Cadwell.
