First-time home buyers will have the opportunity to get some vital information about how to purchase a home with a free housing class.

Set for Saturday, July 2, the Mississippi County Economic Opportunity Corporation will have a 'DPA' Housing Class at 10 a.m., at Crye-Leike Realty, 1225 HWY 77, in Marion.

There will be Information on First Time Home buyers, Down Payment Assistance Programs, Home-ownership, Rural Development and FHA Home Purchase, Home Repair Assistance, and Household Budgeting. You must pre-register, as space is limited, if you plan to attend the class. Register by calling Sherry Means at (870) 261-2078 The ADFA Down Payment Assistance and the 'ADDI” American Dream assistance will help you with up to $10,000 to go toward your down payment and closing cost with a 30 year fixed interest rate of (3.50 percent) Interest rate varies check with your lender for current rate. If you are trying to buy a home with someone that person must attend the class also. This is a one day class.
