Floyd Carey, 84, Heth, was born Oct. 5, 1931, in Cash, Arkansas the son of the late Marlin and Grace Carey and entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 12, 2016, at his home. Mr. Carey was a truck driver for West Memphis Petro. He was a Christian and was a member of Shell Lake Baptist Church. Mr. Carey is survived by his wife, Patsy; one daughter, Angie Sizemore and husband Chris of Hardy; two brothers, Archie Cary of Heth and Joe Carey and wife Omijean of Searcy. Also surviving are three sisters, Bobbie Sue Wilson of Memphis, Martha Wilson of Knoxville, and Bernice Spann and husband Joe of Memphis. Additional survivors include two special sister in laws; Cathy Helms of Heth along with Phyllis Gardner and husband JC of Hughes. Mr. Carey is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jack and a sister, Pauline. The family will receive their friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday June 14, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis with Funeral Services at 2 p.m. Wednesday June 15, at the funeral home. Derrek Allen Cox
Derrek Allen Cox, 25, of Colt, Arkansas passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Linda Cox and Roberta Peer; great-grandmother, Daris Brazeal; two aunts, Doris Cox and Leandra Brown; and an uncle, Leon “Bubba” Brown, IV.
He is survived by his parents, Rhonda and Kenneth Baker of Colt, and George and Dorothy Peer of McGehee; three sisters, Camilla Strickland (Brek), Alicia Cotton (Chad), and Chelsea Collvert all of McGehee; three God-siblings, Laura Gracey, Ronald Gracey, Miakaila Watkins all of Wynne; four nephews, two nieces, and one niece on the way.
The family requests that any memorials be made to Roller Citizens Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
Visitation will be on Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home. Services will be on Saturday, 2 p.m. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home with interment following at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.
Walter Lee Hardy
Jan. 1, 1957–June 12, 2016 Resident of Frenchman’s Bayou, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mildred Hardy; his father, William Hardy, Sr.; and his sister, Susan Sanders.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Nancy McGinnis Hardy of the residence; their son, Joshua Lee Dotter of Columbus, Mississippi; his mother-in-law, Jane Griffin of Memphis, Tennessee; his brothers, William Hardy, Jr., (Carolyn) of Texarkana and James Hardy (Dyanne) of Mt. Vernon, Georgia; his sister, Mary Lou Watkins of West Memphis; his sister, Deborah McKay (Ricky) of West Memphis; his brother, Stephen Hardy (Virginia) of Frenchman’s Bayou; his sister, Sandra Rouse (Jimmy) of Tyronza; his sister-in-law, Patricia Baker (Richard) of Matthews, North Carolina; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Mednikow (Jay) of Memphis, Tennessee; his aunt, Martha Steele of West Memphis; his uncle, Gene McBride (Marlene) of Newbern, Tennessee; and a multitude of precious nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Walter and his wife attended First Baptist Church of Wilson. Memorials may be made to the church in honor of Walter.
Walter was born in West Memphis, attended Marion Schools, and retired from Mid-South Community College. He enjoyed spending his free time with family, which he loved dearly, and making memories with his wife.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m.
