Bearden Realty Crushers 7 Catch This 2

Piper Farmer was the winning pitcher and Kassidy Pardy a top hitter for the Crushers in their win. Catch This pitched Kyndall Williams and Madelyne and Katy were that team’s top hitters.

Crittenden County Recycling Sassy Sluggers 8 Pixie Chix 7

The Sassy Sluggers outlasted the Pixie Chix as Gracie Bell Ford went down as the winning pitcher whiel Megan Barber and Shelby Lewis were the winning team’s top hitters. Annabelle White started for the Pixie Chix while Meghan Alexander, Arabella Shelton, June Dickey and Kyler Musselwhite were that team’s top hitters.

Schneider Trucking Blue Angels 11 Fenter Physical Therapy Diamond Divas 0

The Blue Angels got a strong pitching performance from Kolbie Triplett, Maggie Miller hit a home run and a double, Alyssa Albers also homered and had two single while Emily Kratzer struck a triple and a single for Schneider. The Diamond Divas started Isabel Schmidt and Piper McFarland was that team’s top hitter. Crittenden County Recycling Sassy Sluggers over All points Transport Diamond Sluggers (No final given) Bella Jo Kirtley was the winning pitcher and one of her team’s top hitters in their win. The Sassy Sluggers also got a home run from Gracie Ford and a big game from Piper Tackett. The Diamond Sluggers lost despite big games from Anna Cate Horton pitching and hitting, and Abigail Bagley and Kylee Walraven’s productive days at the plate.

The Senior Division (12-and-up) at the JW Rich Girls Club had a full week of action on the softball field. Games are played on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Coach of the Year

Johnny Washington (at left) was recognized at Monday night’s Marion School District board meeting for his achievement of being named Arkansas’s junior high basketball coach of the year. Washington’s Junior Patriots went 17-2, won a regular season district title and finished as the district runners-up in the postseason tournament.
