Seniors on parade

Due to the extreme contrast in height, seniors graduation from Marion High School had to do a lot of low fives (left photo) Wednesday to connect to each student at Avondale Elementary School during the Parade of Seniors. The graduates walked every hall at AES to make brief contact with the youngsters as part of The Leader in Me at AES. The program kicks-off next school year and is part of Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Franklin Covey. The visit from the seniors was inspired by Habit No. 3: Begin with the End in Mind: The Habit of Personal Vision, which encourages youngsters to set their sights on graduating from high school and becoming career-seeking individuals, learn today and lead tomorrow. And what event would not be complete without a selfie (right photo) to record the moment.
