OBITUARIES
J.W. Altman
J.W. Altman, 86, of Hughes, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016.
He was born on Nov. 16, 1929 to Harvey and Lillie Altman in Wynne.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Imogene Altman; eight grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; and seven brothers and sisters, Ruby Langford of Wynne, Bessie Featherston of Adamsville, Tennessee, Jennie Pack of Wynne, Bonnie Parker of West Helena, Bobby Lee Altman of Orlando, Florida, Carl Gene Altman of Iuka, Mississippi and Oliver Altman of Destin, Florida.
He is preceded in death by a son, Paul Edward Altman and four brothers and sisters, Lee Altman, Marie Altman, Jimmy May Campbell, and Billy Altman.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 2, 2016, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. and the funeral service will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park.

Helen Poole Belue
Helen Poole Belue of Earle, completed her journey on Saturday, April 30, 2016. She passed away peacefully at Broadway Healthcare & Rehabilitation in West Memphis. She was born Sept. 24, 1927 to Clarence and Meda Poole.
Helen was a member of the Earle Church of Christ. While living in Earle, she enjoyed working in her beautiful yard, canning fruits & vegetables and taking care of her family and her dog. She was also a member of the Earle Garden Club, the Red Hat Society and Bridge Clubs.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Clyne P. Belue, Jr.; a son, Clyne P. Belue III; two brothers and two sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Patricia Thomas of Marion, and Lou Stokes (Dennie) of Earle; daughter in law, Sue Belue of West Memphis; three grandsons, Tracey Stokes (Tracy) of Marion, Greg Stokes (April) of Marion and Chris Belue of Horseshoe Lake; three great-grandchildren: Charles, Emma and Reese Stokes; and many family members and friends that will miss her.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Methodist South in Memphis, Tennessee as well as Broadway Healthcare & Rehabilitation for their loving care.
Visitation will be Monday, May 2, 2016, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, with funeral to follow at 2 p.m.
Burial will be immediately following the service at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

James House
James House, 76, of Proctor, died on Friday, April 29, 2016, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
James was an avid hunter and loved to read, but most of all he loved his family. He would do anything in his power to help anyone and never turned away someone in need.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Earlene House; his parents, Stanley Allen House and Rebecca Irene Durham House; and by a sister, Hazel Gammons.
Survivors include a daughter, Regina House; and a son, John House (Ginger) both of West Memphis; a sister, Alice Perry (Paul) of Mississippi; three brothers, John House (Kathy) of Texas, Roy House (Donna) of Kansas and Jackie House (Mary) in Tennessee; four grandchildren, Angela O’Day, Niki House, Kayla House and Rebecca House; and three great-grandchildren, Julia O’Day, Kathryn O’Day and Joseph O’Day.
As the ultimate humanitarian that he was, he donated his body to the University of Tennessee Department of Anthropology in the name of science.
Memorial donations in his honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
