Barbara Ann Adams

Barbara Ann Adams, 54, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, formerly of Hughes, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016, in Sierra Vista. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home. Services Saturday, 11 a.m. also at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home.

She leaves two daughters, Tameka Gillium of Memphis, Tennessee, and Natasha Sykes of Sierra Vista, Arizona; four sons, Antonio Lewis and Jermichael Sykes both of Racine, Wisconsin, Jeffery Sykes and Thomas Sykes both of Sierra Vista, Arizona; six sisters; five brothers; and 13 grandchildren.

Sylvia Lee Burton

Sylvia Lee Burton, 92, of West Memphis passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Methodist Hospice. She was a homemaker. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home. Services Friday, 11 a.m. at Old St.

Paul Church with burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery. She leaves six daughters, Carrie Washington and Classie Turner of St.

Louis, Missouri, Patricia Richardson and Sandra McKinney of Memphis, Shirley Johnson of West Memphis and Shelia Maxfield of Conway; seven sons, Jim Burton Jr.

of Lake Coromorant, Mississippi, Lewis Burton of West Memphis, Joe Burton and Charles Burton of Memphis, Roy Burton of Detroit, Michigan, Bobby Burton and Don Burton of Norfork, Virginia; six sisters, Ruby Jefferson, Jessie Nelson and Rose Nelson all of Memphis, Queen King and Dellean Davis of Benton Harbor, Michigan, and Juanita Jones of Chicago, Illinois; two brothers, Russell Davis of Chicago, Illinois and Ernest Nelson Jr. of Memphis; 52 grandchildren, 92 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.

Helen Louise Jackson Clark

Helen Louise Jackson Clark, 85, of Marion, died Friday, April 22, 2016, in her home. Visitation will be on Friday, April 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Anthony Funeral Home South Chapel. Services Saturday, April 30, 1:30 p.m. in Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church, Memphis with burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery. Geraldine McClure Ivy

Geraldine McClure Ivy, 75, of West Memphis, died Friday, April 22, 2016, in her home. Visitation Saturday, April 30 from 10 to 11 a.m. in Lake Grove M. B. Church on Waverly Road, Proctor. Services will follow at 11 a.m. in the church with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Katrina Avant of West Memphis and Dee Ivy of Austell, Georgia; two sons, Rodney Ivy of Proctor and Chris Ivy of Memphis; two sisters, Doris Qualls of Diamond Bar, California and Viola Hervey of Walnut, California; three brothers, David McClure, Samuel McClure and Milton McClure of Walnut, California; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Linda Faye KingObituaries

Linda Faye King, 67, of Marion, was born Oct. 10, 1948, in Manila.

She died peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 21, 2016, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. King was a homemaker, beautician and business partner to her husband. Linda attended the Highway 77 Church of Christ in Marion. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and an avid youth sports fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delford T.

and Eva Crotts James; one brother, Bob James; one sister, Audine Barnett; and two brothers-in-law, Carl Barnett and Dean Sanders.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Al King; a daughter, Cindy Benton (Buster) of Marion; a son, Jim King also of Marion; a granddaughter, Casey Byrd of Little Rock; two grandsons, Buster R.

Benton and Carter Benton both of Marion; three brothers, Wilb James (Rudene) of Elizabeth, J.C. James (Betty) of Elizabeth and Rex James (Glenda) of Dolph; two sisters: Betty Sanders of Pineville and Erma Barnett (Gene) of Batesville; one sister-inlaw, Allene James of Elizabeth; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation was at Roller- Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis on Sunday, April 24, with funeral following. The bearers of the casket were Bruce Sanders, Mike Sherman, Tommy Barnett, Cliff Barnett, Howard Green and Bill Wyatt.

Interment was at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.

Helen Virginia Collins Morgan

Helen Virginia Collins Morgan, 97, went to be with her Lord on April 26, 2016, at River Ridge Care Center in Wynne, Arkansas.

Helen was born on Dec. 7, 1918. She married Cecil Gibson Morgan and they settled on Ragland Plantation in Crittenden County Arkansas.

Helen was called Gee Gee by her family and friends.

She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. As a Bible teacher she taught children, youth and adult women at the First Baptist Church in Hughes, Arkansas. Her daily work was the secretary to the Superintendent of Schools at the Hughes School District for 25 years. She was a member of the Hughes Garden Club and the Town and Country Garden Club in Hughes.

Gee Gee loved flowers, trees, and animals. She was an avid bird watcher and excellent hostess and cook. She retired in Wynne, where she attended Wynne Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Gibson Morgan; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs.

C. D. Collins; her sister Evelyn Collins Christy; and her brother, C. D.

Collins Jr. She is survived by her children, Gay Kittrell (Bob) of Wynne and Alan Morgan (Cynthia) of Boyle, Mississippi; a sister, Sarah

Card of Thanks

I am so grateful for all the cards, prayers and visits to me as we struggled with the long sickness and heartbreaking loss of my son Rickey D. Briggs on April 9, 2016.

Please know all the emotional support, generosity, thoughtfulness touched me deeply knowing I was not alone to bear my grief and sadness. Thank you, everyone, for being there for me and my family.

Billy Wayne Pilcher

Billy Wayne Pilcher, age 77, of Mountain Home, formerly of West Memphis, departed his earthly life to meet Jesus April 22, 2016. He was born Oct. 22, 1938, in Cherry Valley, Arkansas, to Walter and Helen Pilcher.

Billy was a member of Midway Baptist Church, and spent his working life as an Iron worker; he was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Glenda Hodges Pilcher of West Memphis; and his parents Walter and Helen Pilcher.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Pilcher of Midway; daughter, Billie Carole Leath (Terry) of Olive Branch, Mississippi; a son Bryan Pilcher (Janeen) of Bella Vista; a granddaughter Jennifer Conaway of Memphis, Tennessee; a step daughter, Pam Byrd (Bob) of Mountain Home; grandsons, Zach Byrd of Mountain Home, Kyle Byrd of Conway and Dustin Rigsby of Conway; four sisters, Wanda Erskine of Fruitland, Indiana. Doris Jernigan of Brownsville, Tennessee, Kathryn Parish of Wynne and Debbie Brown of Harrisburg.

Service was held on Sunday, April 24, at Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home, Arkansas with burial at Conley Cemetery in Midway, Arkansas.

Memorials may be sent to The American Cancer Society.

Arthur Mozell Reed

Arthur Mozell Reed, 70, of Turrell, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Methodist University Hospital.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Wolfe Brothers with services following at 11 a.m. Burial in Marion Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include two brothers, Herman Reed of Turrell and Levester Yarbrough of Marion.

Hilda“Granny” Simmons

Hilda “Granny” Simmons, 95, of West Memphis, Arkansas died on Monday, April 25, 2016, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, Mississippi.

Hilda was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Clyde Gamel and Nannie Inez Ramsey Gamel; by her husband of 61 years, H.D. Simmons; and by a daughter, Linda Sue Simmons.

Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth Griffith and Nan Childress (James) both of West Memphis and Mary Jane Onze (John) of Byhalia, Mississippi; a son, Samuel Simmons (Peggy) of West Memphis; two sisters; nine grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis on Thursday, April 28, from 10 to 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

The interment will take place at Augusta Memorial Park in Augusta, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
