The United Methodist Women met at the Morrison Fellowship Hall for a soup supper April 13.

Included was Sue Dorman, Jane Speed, Allison Bird, Laura Pritchard, Coretta Allen, Dot McKinney and Elleene Holloway.

*** A group from the First Assembly of God Church gathered at the George Berry Washington monument on Highway 149 recently where they cleaned up the memorial.

Included were Elbert Person and daughter Andrea Jewell, Jeff Wood, Albert Arquitt, Carlos Love, John Buford, J. T. Buford, Jeff Newingham, Jackson Glide, Thomas Arquitt, Laurie and Rev. Clayton Adams, church pastor.

*** The Women’s Ministry of the First Assembly of God Church met at the fellowship hall April 5 where they enjoyed a spaghetti dinner prepared by Laurie and Rev. Clayton Adams.

Debbie Love and Tabitha Newingham were in charge of the meeting.

The theme was “Spring Time.” The tables were covered with pastel cloths and favors at each plate were small buckets containing supplies to be used for spring cleaning.

Tabitha gave the devotional in keeping with the theme and Debbie conducted games.

Others present were Terre Rodgers, Linda Jo Branch, Michelle McCormick, Delores Smith, Christina Kilgore, Alicia Martinez, Lisa Martinez, Carolyn Clouse, Tammy Soto, Tracy Buford, Ashley Cox and Myra Arquitt.

*** The youth group from the First Assembly of God church enjoyed going to Jonesboro recently where they had lunch at Sumos, visited a park and saw the movie “God’s Not Dead.”

Among those taking the trip was Bobbie and Elizabeth Karow, Jackson Glide, Cade Morris, Hailee and Bella Newingham, Elizabeth Hobbs, J. T. Buford, Taylor Armstrong, Megan Bailey and Kyndel Williams.

Adult chaperones included Tracy and John Buford, Tabitha and Jeff Newingham, Matt and Ashley Cox, Crystal Holloway, Laurie and Rev. Clayton Adams, church pastor.

*** Cindy Dickey of Bella Vista spent several days with her parents, Mary Jane and J. B. Edwards, and also visited with other relatives.
