Henry Edward Johnson, Sr.
Henry Edward Johnson, Sr., 92, of West Memphis, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at his residence.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home. Services Friday at 11 a.m. at Wolfe Brothers Chapel with burial in Birdeye National Cemetery at 1 p.m.
He leaves his wife, Ola Johnson of West Memphis; two daughters, Alma Johnson of Memphis and Marva Gibbs of Dallas, Texas; four sons, Henry Johnson, Jr. of West Memphis, Reginald Johnson of Marion, Rickey Johnson of Cordova, Tennessee and Michael Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 23 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
John Braxton Langley
John Braxton Langley, 50, of Forrest City, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016, at the Forrest City Medical Center.
John was a member of the First Baptist Church in Forrest City. He was preceded in death by his father, O.J.
Langley. Survivors include his mother, Julia Langley Burkhart (Thomas) of Forrest City; a daughter, Brittney Langley of North Little Rock; a son, John Joshua Langley of Forrest City; two sisters, Marcelle Duffel (Jim) of Greenbrier and Jo Ann Gill (Dan) of Hernando, Mississippi; two brothers, Rusty Langley (Dana) of Crawfordsville and Alan Jay Langley of Southaven, Mississippi; a grandson, Shooter Mullins; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion on Thursday, April 21, beginning at 2 p.m.

Elmira O’Gwin
Elmira O’Gwin, 59, of West Memphis, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in Methodist University Hospital.
Visitation Friday, April 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Anthony Funeral Home South Chapel. Services Saturday, April 23, 11 a.m. in Second St. John M. B. Church, West Memphis with visitation one hour prior to service.
Burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery. She is survived by her companion, Johnny Clay of West Memphis; a son, Denarious O’Gwin of Cordova, Tennessee; three brothers, J.C. O’Gwin, Robert Paul O’Gwin of West Memphis and Jack O’Gwin, Jr. of Hughes and two grandchildren.
Russell Skeens
Russell Skeens, 78, of Hardy, Arkansas went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, April 15, 2016. His family was by his side at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
Russell was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanette Schwarz Skeens and leaves behind his daughter, Karen Skeens Carter and her husband Terry Carter of West Memphis; his daughter, Trisha Skeens Gillispie and her husband Cody Gillispie of Decatur, Texas; his daughter, Jacqueline Skeens Cavender and her husband, Clay Cavender of Tyler, Texas; his son, Mark Skeens of Decatur, Texas; his sister, Lucille and husband Carwell of North Carolina; his sister, Ruth Bishop of Tucson, Arizona; and his brother, Leonard and his wife, Phyllis Skeens of Sun City, Arizona.
Mr. Skeens was a veteran of the United States Air Force and an active member of the Catholic Church. He was a devoted father to his children and grandchildren. Mr.
Skeens retired from a career as Vice President of Chip and Saw/Can Car Corp.
Many loving and caring family, friends and doctors were involved in caring to Mr.
Skeens during his courageous battles with cancer. To those stewards of compassion, medical expertise and kind attention to his needs, the family sends out their sincere gratitude and appreciation. They would also like to thank all his doctors and nurses over the years and the unfailing assistance, love, kindness, and support provided by the entire staff of Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House during Russell’s stay.
Because of their invaluable work and calling, the family requests, that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to: The Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1138 East Matthews Avenue, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
Mr. Skeens was laid to rest during a graveside service at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Weiner, Arkansas on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
Emerson Funeral Home was in charge.
