The firemen had a training day with the new truck on April 2. The firemen are starting to clean up Station II and council agreed to allow purchase for railroad containers for the Fire Dept. to use as fire modules as training rooms. A couple of the firemen have agreed to cut low limbs interfering with passage of the new truck in the town. Council also agreed to sale the old non working generator and put the monies back in the general fund. Report from Code Enforcement Officer Mc Dermott was a list of 22 had been started that it was time to cut grass and yards that needed to be cleaned up. Two grass cutting bid packets were opened and City Attorney, Brian Williams was going to take and go over, if an emergency meeting was not called before May meeting, the current contract would take care of until then. They are still looking at recording devices for the town meetings. Marsha Siders was thanked for heading up the Easter Party. Construction of Ralph Henry’s new home is moving along very well. The council set a date for the annual Town clean-up, Dumpsters will be placed at City Hall and items may be placed in the dumpsters from May 13-15. The Mayor wanted to remind everyone that the ordinance pertaining to grass height is, can’t be over 7 inches high. Also wanted to remind everyone, that it is the individual’s responsibility to haul off their own limbs, since the City no longer has a place to haul them to. You may burn them, but must follow the 5x5x5 ordinance. Fire Chief Thomen reminded the council it was time to order more mosquito spray.
