MPAC to host first ever Esperanza Bonanza Pageant

Inaugural event this Saturday; ages zero to 19 years

ralphhardin@gmail.com Well, it’s no secret that there are plenty of pretty little ladies here in Crittenden County, so it’s only fitting that one of the community’s biggest celebrations of the year include an opportunity for them to get dolled up and show off. Enter the first-ever Esperanza Bonanza Pageant.

This Saturday at the Marion Performing Arts Center at Marion High School, One Patriot Dr., the inaugural Esperanza Bonanza Beauty Pageant will showcase some of the cutest little beauty queens around across a number of different age divisions.

“Come join us for our very first pageant,” said Amanda Harlow, one of the pageant organizers. “Lots of great crowns to be won!”

Each age division will crown a princess and a queen. Each winner will receive a beautiful crown, sash and trophy.

There will also be one Ultimate title winner, coming from the contestant that receives the highest overall score in the pageant. The Ultimate will receive a crown sash and plaque. All winners will be recognized on stage with a grop photo after the pageant.

Royalty will get to take part in activities throughout the year, including parades and a crowning ceremony in next year’s pageant.

“We would also like to invite everyone to the Esperanza Bonanza festival May 4 through 7,” said Harlow. “You can wear your banner and sash to support your title.”

Age divisions are 0-11 months, 12-13 months, 2-3 years, 4-6 years, 7-9 years, 10-12 years, 13-15 years and 16-19 years.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. when the doors open. The pageant begins at 9 a.m. For more information, find the Esperanza Bonanza Pageant page on Facebook, or contact Amanda Harlow at (870) 733-4045.
