Plant Sales The Hughes Town and Country Garden Club will have their Plant and Bake Sale on April 9. It will be at the old Bond’s Marine, located next to Bond’s Grocery Store on Hwy 147. Sales will begin at 8 a.m. and will go until supplies last. If it rains it will be inside the Marine.

Crittenden County Master Gardener’s will have their annual plant sale on May 67. It will be at the Pavilion across from the County Extension Office in Marion. This is a good weekend to pick up your Mother’s Day gifts. There will be plants, herbs, bird baths, Adirondack chairs, tables, stepping stones and much more. Last year they had a couple of silent auction items, bids ended at noon on Saturday. All proceeds go to the scholarship fund. Last year CCMG awarded 5 scholarships out of seven applicants. The scholarship is a monetary award to assist a Crittenden County resident in pursuing a post-secondary degree in a plant science-related field, including but not limited to: horticulture, botany, agronomy, forestry, plant science, landscape architecture/ design, and turf management. Applications may be picked up from high school counselors in Crittenden county, they can be e-mailed or you can contact the County Extension Office.

St. Francis County Master Gardener’s will have their annual plant sale on May 21. It will be in the parking lot of Payless Shoe Store at 2212 N. Washington St., next to Walgreens in Forrest City. It will be from 8 a.m. until Noon.
